3 Week Deployments - Emergency Field Hospital Northern Iraq

Samaritan’s Purse is a non-profit, Christian organisation providing emergency relief and development assistance to suffering people around the world. Samaritan’s Purse is meeting the physical needs of victims of war, famine, natural disaster and poverty and disease with the aim of demonstrating God’s love and sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ. The aid and assistance are given without regard to the race, creed, gender, religion, or ethnicity of the beneficiaries.

The Samaritan’s Purse Disaster Assistance Response Team (DART) is currently caring for critically injured children and adults at our Emergency Field Hospital (EFH) on the plains of Nineveh in Iraq. We are treating patients injured by gunfire, land mines, car bombings, and improvised explosives as the conflict between coalition/Iraqi security forces and ISIS terrorists continues.  To date, our DART has treated more than 1,500 patients, and performed over 825 major surgeries at the EFH.As we prepare to continue to meet the emergent medical needs of this response, we are seeking committed Christian medical professionals to serve.  The following specialties are required to fulfill ongoing needs at our Emergency Field Hospital in Iraq:

  • Trauma/General Surgeons·         

  • Orthopedic Surgeons·        

  •  Anesthesiologists·        

  •  Emergency Medicine Physicians

Deployments are for a minimum period of 3 weeks, from now until the end of August 2017, on a contract basis through International Headquarters in the USA. All travel costs are covered by Samaritan’s Purse Australia.
