    A special event for health professionals interested in medical mission.

    The 2nd Anthony Radford Oration, "A long and winding road", will be given by Professor Bill Hague.

  • Recent Graduates Retreat 13-15th October


    from 4pm onwards to Sunday midday

    Nirvana Vista Estate, Hunter Valley

    Join us in the beautiful Hunter Valley for our seventh instalment of Recent Grads Retreat! Over cheese, wine and crackers, we will be exploring the theme of what it means to be united in Christ and how that shapes our identity, purpose and security. Places in the main house are limited and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

    Theme: Our very own Joel Wight will be sharing with us on the theme of being United with Christ and the implications of that in our personal and professional lives, including a panel discussion of work issues.

    Cost: $250 per person for weekend - includes accommodation and facilities, breakfasts x 2, morning and afternoon teas and supper x 2

    Places are limited - The house can accommodate up to 20 people.

    This year our State Dinner includes an opportunity to pray for and congratulate graduating students, and for them to affirm with us a graduation pledge

    Topic: Neural pathways: from rats to a husband A paediatrician's path from medical school to academia


    Professor Louise Baur AM.   – Professor of  Child & Adolescent Health at the University of Sydney and Head of the Clinical School at the Children's Hospital at Westmead.

    Louise has been a member of CMDFA since her student days and has a thoughtful and committed Christian witness . Louise is a paediatrician and an internationally renowned childhood obesity researcher. Professor Baur has been instrumental in raising the profile of childhood obesity as an issue of clinical and public health importance, in Australia and Internationally.

    Louise is married to Rod and they attend Beecroft Presbyterian Church. Her recent commitments have included Board Membership with World Vision Australia.

    Interstate colleagues attending GP17 are very welcome to join us.
