Welcome to the CMDFWA page!
In CMDFA we seek to follow Christ by integrating our faith in our everyday practice as doctors and dentists. If you’re in Western Australia, then CMDFWA is the place to meet fellow Christian healthcare professionals and share your experiences in serving Christ at work.
CMDFWA also works closely with SMA (Shadrach, Meschach and Abednego)- the Christian Healthcare Students group at the University of Western Australia- and our graduates actively invest in student ministry in areas of leadership development and mentorship to help grow a generation of faithful doctors and dentists.
In 2010 we plan to continue to support the student and recent graduates group while increasing our involvement with both missions and not-for-profit organisations as we seek to further serve God practically through our work.
CMDFWA Journey Nights
These meetings are held almost every month and offer a chance for members to share in a meal and fellowship, with a themed discussion to accompany dessert. So far this year we have touched on personality differences and also the importance of mission work. The next meeting is on June 24

Annual Events
CMDFWA Missions Night: CMDFWA seeks to promote missions in partnership with other parachurch organsisations such as SIM, Interserve and Cosmos Healthcare. Every year we hold an event to invite mission organisations to share with us their work in the field, allow our students and members to share there missions experiences and also provide an opportunity for our members to support each other in prayer.
CMDFWA Bali Trip: Each year we send a small group (4-6) of 1st and 2nd year medical and dental students to rural parts of Bali, to demonstrate the differences between the wealthy and those in need, and also to provide an opportunity for the students to serve in practical means at rural clinics and orphanages. This trip is coordinated by Dr Jeremy Beckett and is funded through the generous donations of CMDFWA members and the CMDFA national body.
CMDFWA Dinner / AGM: Each year we host a dinner in order to discuss the past year and also to congratulate our most recent medical and dental graduates. Date TBC.
