Hundreds of dental and medical students around Australia believe in Jesus as their Lord and Saviour. CMDFA aims to disciple them, so that they grow in maturity and character and are equipped to serve God through their work after graduation. The first few years after graduation is a particularly vulnerable time for the faith of these students; we want to support them so that they not only survive in the workplace, they thrive!

Recent Grads and Students (REGS)

Our vision is to raise up a generation of REGS which is

• strong in faith,
• radical in obedience, and
• unified in commitment to the Gospel of Christ.

Studies of students around the world show that anywhere from 50 – 85% of Christian students give up their faith at University and in their first few years of working. We want to see this trend reversed, with our students equipped to bring their colleagues to Christ.

We encourage REGS to be members of campus groups and local churches, and to see CMDFA as a supplement to these other core commitments. CMDFA offers resources that will assist REGS to navigate the maze of challenges that are specific to working as a Doctor and Dentist in Australian society.

One of our greatest resources is our membership base: hundreds of older doctors and dentists who are continuing in their faith in Christ, and willing to get alongside REGS as mentors and friends.

National Events

Every year we host a 3 day National REGS conference called IMPACT, which is an opportunity for REGS from around Australia to get together for fellowship, teaching, encouragement, challenge and inspiration. Invited mentors (older Doctors and Dentists) generously come along to IMPACT as well, sharing their wisdom and experience with delegates.

There are also international REGS events. At a world level conferences are held every 4 years, the next being in South America in 2010.
