Top 10 Frequently Asked Questions
What are the benefits of joining CMDFA?
Being part of CMDFA means gaining fellowship, a strong sense of community, and opportunities for leadership development—values that are at the heart of our organisation.
Do I need to be a Christian to join?
Our organisation welcomes professionals from the healthcare sector from all denominations.
How is fellowship fostered?
Why do students, life members, and missionaries pay a nominal membership fee?
CMDFA aims to support students and missionaries by offering free membership, acknowledging rising living costs. Life members are honoured for their long-term service and loyalty. However, to maintain communication and engagement systems, a small token fee of $1 is in place, which is reviewed periodically.
Which membership type should I choose?
We offer several membership options:
- Full-time Professional
- Part-time Professional (> 8 hours per week)
- Part-time Professional (< 8 hours per week)

If you’re unsure which category suits you best, feel free to reach out at office@cmdfa.org.au.
As a member, you’ll also have the option to contribute to various partnerships, considered as donations.
Are CMDFA memberships, partnerships, or donations tax-deductible?
CMDFA is a not-for-profit charity but does not have tax-deductible status. Some members may claim fees or partnerships—please check with your tax agent.
Can CMDFA refer me to a Christian GP or specialist?
CMDFA is a fellowship, not a professional organisation, so we don’t provide medical referrals. We recommend checking with your local council, church, or medical centre.
I’m a member but can’t log into the Member Portal. What should I do?
If you forgot your password, reset it. If you forgot your email, try using the one you registered with. Still stuck? Contact office@cmdfa.org.au.
How can I connect with another CMDFA member?
When joining CMDFA, new members will be asked to opt-in to our Members Directory. This list with just the names of the members will be available in the Members Portal. As a member, if you are interested in contacting another member, you can email office@cmdfa.org.au with your name, contact details, the member you wish to connect with, and the reason. We will then forward your request to them.
Who qualifies as a CMDFA Life Member?
Life Membership is reserved for long-term members who have made a significant impact through mentoring, volunteering, leadership, or spiritual guidance. Selection is at the discretion of the National Board and COO.
