IMPACT Student Conference 2017
IMPACT 17 - Steadfast in the Storm - Melbourne
In April 2017, IMPACT welcomed over 200 attendees to Melbourne. It was great to see so many medical and dental students together in fellowship, and even more exciting to have a healthy number of graduates, old and new, forming part of the conference community. We cannot thank them enough for their sacrificial efforts as mentors and group leaders. Our guest speaker, Ps. Dave McDonald shared on Spiritual Life, Hope and Confidence, unpacking scripture from Romans 8. A shorter conference than usual, it was jam-packed with a full day of workshops, small group discussion and worship. Delegates had the opportunity to attend a Missions Expo and hear from prospective organisations, and a highlight for many, the scavenger hunt around the Melbourne CBD.
Over the weekend, we were filled with spiritual and practical wisdom to be both steadfast in our world, and in understanding the steadfast nature of our God - our theme for the conference. It was such a valuable weekend to many - IMPACT remains a standout calendar event for Christian medical and dental students, to recalibrate their faith, give and receive in community and tackle big questions that they face in the world today.
